Awards, Certificates and Memberships

Ortadoğu Energy Group have been awarded the 1st place in “Large Energy Project” category in the Emirates Energy Awards hosted by the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy. We have received the Golden Award with “Istanbul Landfill Gas to Energy” project that generates electricity from renewable energy sources by utilizing innovative technologies and contributing to the fight against climate change by reducing carbon emissions.

Ortadoğu Energy Group has won the Low Carbon Hero award for its contribution to protecting the environment. The award was presented by Sustainable Consumption and Production Association at the 2nd Istanbul Carbon Summit. The European Side Kemerburgaz-Odayeri Landfill Gas Energy power plant and Anatolian Side Şile-Kömürcüoda Landfill Gas Energy power plant achieved CO2 emissions reduction of more than 1 million tons per year to be granted for the award.

Our company with its environmentally friendly projects in the field of energy production from landfill gases has received the "Most Environmental Investor" award in the Energy Oscar Awards held within the scope of the ICCI 2011 - Energy and Environment Exhibition and Conference.

By being a company which is open to innovations that produces the best with its determination to succeed, with workers and its values tuned into the society and environment, our firm has received the Jury Special award in the field of Environmentally Friendly Applications at the ISO (Istanbul Chamber of Commerce) 13th Environment and Town Planning Award held by the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce.

Our company received the second place award in the Awards Program for Co-operation, Innovation and Effect for European Corporation Social Responsibilities held with the leadership of the CSR Europe and Business in the Community with the support of the European Commission and Turkey Corporation Social Responsibilities Foundation.

A “Gold Member” membership has been started in the name of our company at the International Solid Waste Association (ISWA). With this membership, we will earn the opportunity to improve our current know how in the field of waste with the participation of our company personnel in the work of the Association in question.

TAYÇED; has been set up with the aim of raising awareness for the environment of our country, to improve the waste management sector within its field of business, within the scope of its maintainability principles and to popularize the active waste management practices.
