Turkey, that ranks 7 in the world with its geothermal richness, has a potential that is able to meet up to 5% of its total electricity requirement and up to 30% of its thermal energy requirement.
Annual total geothermal heat potential of Turkey is 31.500 MWt, and this is equivalent to 30 billion m³ natural gas annually. And its geothermal electric potential is 2000 MWe*(16 billion kWh/Year).Total geothermal capacity is (2.000 MWe, 31.500 MWt ) and this can be assessed in applications such as electricity generation, district heating, cooling, greenhouse heating, thermal plant heating, spa use, production of chemicals and industrial use.
Our company in the geothermal sector is in the investment stage of 24MW “Manisa Phase-I Alaşehir Belenkaya JES”, 24MW “Manisa Phase-II Sarıgöl Emcelli JES”, 24MW “Manisa Phase-III Sarıgöl Baharlar JES” project continues. We are continuing to add innovations to our JES projects at a total power of 72 MW.
